About the Event
Join Imam John Starling for an "all you need to know" Ramadan preparatory session.
In this in-person event, we will cover everything you need to know for a successful fast. Topics will include the following.
- How to start the month of Ramadan.
- When and how to make the proper intention to fast.
- The basics of fasting.
- Who is exempt from fasting.
- Common issues such as taking medications and traveling during Ramadan.
- Tarawih prayer.
- Spiritual secrets of fasting.
We will also discuss the this year's Ramadan program at GCLEA.
This program is great for first-timers and should serve seasoned worshipers as a great reminder.
